Focusing on the national energy development strategy, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics launched the preparation for the construction of the clean energy National Laboratory (DNL) in October 2011. DNL is the first National Laboratory in the field of energy in China, with fuel cells, bioenergy, fossil energy and applied catalysis, energy conservation and environment, low-carbon catalysis and engineering, solar energy, energy storage technology, hydrogen energy and advanced materials, energy foundation and strategy, energy materials (preparation) 11 research departments and 1 research platform, including the energy strategy research center and the energy research technology platform; There are 9 research laboratories, including instrumental analytical chemistry, fine chemical industry, catalytic foundation, chemical laser, chemical dynamics, aerospace catalysis and new materials, biotechnology, Dalian light source science, materia medica science, etc. It has two state key laboratories of catalytic basis and molecular reaction dynamics; There are many national scientific and technological innovation platforms, such as the National Engineering Research Center for low-carbon catalytic technology, the National Engineering Research Center for catalytic engineering technology, the National Engineering Research Center for membrane technology, and the national energy low-carbon catalysis and engineering research and development center; It has five academy level laboratories, including chemical laser, separation and analytical chemistry, fuel cell and composite electric energy, aerospace catalytic materials, and electrochemical energy storage technology. Since the establishment of the Institute, Dalian Institute of chemical physics has produced a number of well-known scientists at home and abroad and a large number of high-quality research and technical talents. 20 scientists have been elected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of engineering, 4 as academicians of the Academy of Sciences of developing countries, 1 as an academician of the European Academy of Humanities and natural sciences, and 1 as an international academician of the Canadian Academy of engineering.
